Shell Game

Shell Game is a counter-mapping project, aiming to uncover the hidden agendas of state based actors in the South China Sea. Using a deck of cards where each object is a disputed island in the Spratly Island chain, participants engage in a dialogue around the island and its many linkages.

As a one-on-one performance work, the project used corporate foyers as sites in the central business districts of Melbourne (Site is Set and Festival of Live Art), Brisbane (Metro Arts), Perth (Proximity Festival) and Adelaide (Series of Unexpected Events).
